4th February 2022

Dear parents/ carers,

This has been a challenging week, with the impact of Covid affecting several staff members.   I know it was inevitable that staff would test positive, I just wasn’t expecting so many all at once!

Thankfully all staff are only mildly affected and desperate for a negative test so they can return to school.  This has meant some shuffling around to maintain cover in classes, but everyone has pulled together to ensure the children remain in school.  Thank you to my wonderful staff for their flexibility, often at a moment’s notice and for your understanding during this trying time.

Just a couple of notes for you this week…

Save the date; PSA Jumble Sale Saturday 5th March from 12 – 3pm to raise funds for student resources & leavers ’22, we are holding a jumble sale at the School Hall. Please come along and support your school.

If you have any items to donate to help us on our money raising quest, please drop them to the caretakers house under the car port from 28th February.

Your donations are greatly appreciated. Any questions get in touch via the PSA Facebook page.

We are relying on year 6 parents & students to help out on the stalls as some of the proceeds go towards the leavers activities. So please contact Steph on the year 6 Facebook group to sign up. Thank you.

Staffing:  It is with sadness that I am letting you know that our lovely Mrs Hampton has decided now is the time to leave Henham.  Mrs Hampton has been at Henham since 2002 and during that time has been such a wonderful support to many children.  Her skills and experience will be greatly missed.  We all wish her much love and happiness for the future.

House Points:  The RED Team have tipped the first place spot this week. Congratulations Red Team!
