23rd April 2021

Dear parents/ carers,

A relatively short newsletter this week so you can get on and enjoy the sunshine 😉

Clubs: Clubs will be re-starting week commencing 2nd May, and Mrs Nicholls sent the link out yesterday so you can sign up.  If you could please ensure you complete and return this by 10am Monday 26th April, to allow enough time for Mrs Nicholls to organise the registers; thank you!

Fun Run: A reminder that the Henham 10K & 3K Fun Run is 12th – 27th June: This will be held as a virtual event.

Entrants will need a fitness tracker e.g. Strava, and will be able to complete the course as many times as they like, and then submit their best times.  All competitors will receive a race medal.

There is more information about the race on the website:  https://sites.google.com/view/henham-10k

Entrance is £5 each and all the much needed proceeds will be donated to the school.

Staffing news:  I am delighted to let you all know that our lovely Mrs Brennan (Year 4 class teacher), is expecting her first baby in September.  We are all delighted for her and her husband.  Mrs Brennan will commence her maternity leave at the beginning of the autumn term.

Parent Forum:  A reminder that I will be holding an online parent forum on Monday 26th April at 1pm.  All parents/carers are welcome to attend.  If you have anything you would like raised at the forum, please forward this to me ahead of the meeting at head@henhamugley.essex.sch.uk.  I will send the link for the forum in a separate email. Minutes of the meeting will be sent out by the end of next week.

Reception starters September 2021:  For those of you with children of school age or know friends and families with children ready to start school in September 2021, we still have some spaces available for our lovely Reception class.  Please do get in touch or forward this information to your friends and family if they are still considering their choices for September 2021.

New parent starter information packs will be sent shortly, which will include details of our induction sessions and a parent welcome session.

That’s it for this week, have a wonderful weekend everyone!
