Dear parents/ carers,
What an active week it’s been! Year 2 enjoyed a super day out at Hedingham Castle, Year 5 have had a brilliant activity week and of course, Year 6 have attended their residential visit to PGL Bawdsey Manor.
As the weather ramped up to 30 degrees today, what fun years 3 and 5 had this afternoon with their water squirters – no one was safe!
Year 6 arrived back from their residential this afternoon. It is such a fabulous experience for the children and I am so proud of them for really challenging themselves during the activities. For many, overcoming their fears – they should all be very proud of themselves.
Huge thanks to Mrs Fleming, Mrs Miley and Miss Gilbert for attending and supporting the children throughout. With so much excitement and children that like to get up very early! I should think that the children and adults will all sleep very well this weekend!

PSA Summer Fete: Saturday 2nd July. Next week, your children will be coming home with raffle tickets in support of the PSA fete. If you need more, please do get in touch! Thank you for your support.
Young Carers: You may recall the information sent out before half term regarding Young Carers. A reminder that if you feel your child could be a Young Carer, please do come and speak to me to find out about the additional support available.
RSE: Thank you so much to the 140 of you that have completed the online form to advise if you do or do not give consent for your child to partake in the Relationships and Sex Education sessions that will be taught from next week. There are still some gaps from each class across the school. There’s still time to complete the form before it closes on Monday. The link is here: https://forms.office.com/r/tE3Uq1YyyT If you don’t complete the form, we will assume you do not wish your child to take part and they will be removed from the lessons. If you have any questions, or would like another copy of the letter explaining the content to be taught, please do get in touch.
Finally, if you are thinking about what to do this weekend, at 10.30am tomorrow (Saturday 18th June), Henham Parish Council have arranged for defibrillator training at OSCA; everyone is welcome.
