Sports:  Huge congratulations to our cross country runners this week taking part in the event at Howe Green.  They all did so well with many children qualifying for the next stages;  I shall confirm next week who has made it through to the next round.

No Nuts!: Can I please remind you all that we are a ‘no nut’ school.  We still have children bringing in snacks and lunches into school containing nut products.  As a no nut school, children cannot bring items in that contain nuts, this includes hazelnuts, sandwiches using seedy bread, rolls with sesame seed toppings or bread sticks with sesame.  Additionally, hummus or any products containing tahini including snack bars containing sesame.  Thank you for your support.

Staffing:  I am delighted to let you know that we have a new member of staff starting at Henham on Monday.  Mrs Louise Morland is an experienced Higher Level Support Assistant and will be supporting the work in various classes across the school.  We are all looking forward to her joining the Henham team.

Travelling Bookfair:  You will have received a letter from Mrs Barford this week about the travelling book fair coming into school between the 17th and 24th November.

If you wish to purchase any of the books on the ‘wish list’, then please pay online via: www.travellingbooks.co.uk/pay selecting option 2 or 3.

Please note that after you have chosen and paid for your books, you will need to send your completed ‘wish list’ back into school as soon as possible and by 23rd November 2022 at the latest so that purchased books can come home with your child.

For more information about the Book Fair please visit: https://bookfairs.scholastic.co.uk/travelling-books/parents The Book Fair is also a wonderful opportunity for you to help our school. Every purchase earns our school rewards which we can use to stock our library.  Thank you so much for your support.

That’s it for this week, other than letting you know that there will be a service of Remembrance at the memorial in Henham at 11am this Sunday, 13th November.

With best wishes,

Kim
