Welcome back to the second half of the summer term, I hope you all had a relaxing half term break.
The PSA are busy finalising details for our annual school fete on Saturday 29th June and will be sending out more information next week.
In the meantime, a reminder of some dates for your diary in the lead up to the fete.
Friday 14th June – colourful t-shirt day in exchange for sweet donations
Friday 21st June – crazy hair day in exchange for bottle and general tombola items
Friday 28th June – cake donations
Thank you for the donations of raffle prizes received so far, we still need more so if you can donate a raffle prize, please drop it into the school office; thank you.
Sports this week:
A report from Miss Gilbert…Three teams from years 5 and 6 took part in a rounder’s competition on Wednesday at JFan, the weather conditions were perfect!
We played a total of nine games throughout the day, with twenty seven other teams competing.
The children were superbly behaved and a credit to Henham, their sportsmanship was outstanding. The A team came 7th overall. Well done to everyone who took part and was involved in the day.
Class organisation 2019/20
As we have passed the deadline for teacher resignations for this academic year, I am now able to confirm the class teacher arrangements for the academic year 2019/20.
They are as follows:

All staff will be involved in a series of handover meetings with the current class teacher, to ensure a smooth transition and the continuation of any additional support provided for individual children.
In addition to the above, on Monday 8th July, the children will get to spend the morning with their new teacher.

Finally, as already emailed out earlier today, to confirm that on Wednesday next week, (12th June), I will be having foot surgery and will be away from school until medically fit to return to work.
I have absolute confidence in our wonderful team of staff and know that they will continue to ensure the continued smooth running of our school.
Should you wish to speak to someone about your child, please follow our usual communication procedures, starting with the class teacher. If you would like to discuss matters with an alternative staff member, then Mrs Carter will be your contact for Key Stage 2 and Mrs Espie for Key stage 1.
