Dear parents/ carers,

Well, we’ve entered July and that means just 2 full weeks of the summer term remain!

At the beginning of the week, many of the children had the excitement of watching Creaky Cottage being taken apart and removed from school.

We are all watching eagerly as the ground is now being prepared for our lovely new Year 2 classroom, ready for September!

On Thursday, what a super day we had with Year 6 children at ‘Go Ape’ in Thetford Forest.  It was a truly magical day with the children, who were fantastic and so incredible with the challenges!  Well done Year 6 – you did yourselves proud!

  • From Monday 5th July – PSA: Bag2School Collection – A reminder that this terms Bag2School collection is taking place next week until Friday 9th July. This is a fantastic scheme, where for every kilo donated, earns a cash donation for our school. We will be accepting donations underneath the caretakers house car port from Monday next week . Please place all donations in bin liners, to keep clothing dry leading up to collection. A reminder of what can be accepted is at the bottom of this newsletter.

For those of you with multiple bags and too many to carry in during the normal school run, you can enter school in your car between the hours of 9.30am and 2.30pm to drop off your bags.

  • PSA Readathon Bingo Great news – the Readathon event has been extended to the 16th July, so there’s still time to get your bingo sheets and sponsorship money in to be in with a chance of winning!

I also had the great pleasure of presenting trophies to the following children today, following the Henham 3K and 10K fun run event:

10K Under 11 winner: Finley M (year 5)

3K Under 11 winners: Olivia H (year 3) & George M (year 4)

Huge congratulations to Finley, Olivia and George, what an achievement!  Well done to everyone that took part in this super event and thank you so much to the wonderful organizers.  I look forward to sharing the total amount raised with you soon!
