Dear parents/ carers,
Can you believe we only have three and a half weeks to go until the end of the year!
- Talking about the end of the school year, a reminder that on the last day of the term, Wednesday 21st July, children need to be collected between 1 – 1.15pm that day. There is no after-school provision on the last day.
For those of you that come into school, you will have noticed that the grass tracks have been laid in preparation for the commencement of works to remove Creaky Cottage next week. Our Year 2 children are having great fun in their temporary classroom and it will be quite an experience watching the area being developed for a new Year 2 classroom, which will be ready in September!
PSA: Bags2School Collection –This terms Bags2School collection is taking place on Friday 9th July, in 2 weeks’ time. This is a fantastic scheme, where for every kilo donated, we earn a cash donation for our school. We will be accepting donations underneath the caretakers house car port from Monday of the week commencing 5th July. Due to COVID restrictions, we cannot hand out our usual Bags2School bags, therefore please place all donations in bin liners, to keep clothing dry leading up to collection. - For those of you looking for something different to do this weekend, how about the Elsenham ‘pop-up market’ on Saturday 26th June? With a range of different stalls from plants, handmade crafts, Lego and games activities, unique stationary, garage sales and much more, I’m sure there will be plenty to keep you busy!
The event is running from 1-4pm and if you visit the cake and refreshments stall, hosted by the Scouts, funds raised will be shared between us and Elsenham school.
