Dear parents/ carers,

The end of the first half of the summer term is here and it looks like we could be in for a half term week of lovely weather at last!  A short newsletter this week so you can get on with the half term break!

Congratulations to the following children who have received my Headteachers award today.  I have also given Mrs Aves my award after she presented the most inspiring and informative staff meeting on dyslexia to us earlier in the week – well done Mrs Aves and to all the children!

ACL Community and Family Learning sessions:  Please see the attached flyer for a wide range of support sessions available in June, including, preparing for starting school, understanding children’s anxieties, relaxation for parents and even first aid basics.  There is a great range available and all the sessions are delivered by ACL Community and Family Learning either face-to-face or online and are FREE group-based support for any parent/carer/guardian living in Essex caring for a child under 18.

PSA Readathon Bingo!  For the whole month of June, the PSA are inviting children to participate in our Readathon Bingo Challenge!

Today the children have been given a pack to share with you which includes a sponsorship sheet and a bingo card!  All money raised will be going towards the refurbishment of our school library.

We look forward to seeing the fun you have completing the challenges, so if you are happy to do so, please do send in your photos so that we can share them on the PSA board.

Bags2school:  Our Bags2School collection will be during the first week of July – watch out for more updates after half term.

Non-pupil day:  A reminder that our original planned non-pupil day has been moved to Monday 21st June 2021.

I would like to say a big thank you for your support and kind words recently.  It means so much to me and my staff to belong to such a supportive and caring community.

Wishing you all a super half term break, I look forward to seeing you all back on Monday 7th June.
