11th June 2021

Dear parents/ carers,

Welcome back to the second half of the summer term, I hope you all had a super break – we certainly had the weather and it’s great to see that the sun is still continuing to shine!

Sun cream/ sun hats:  As the sun is now shining, just a reminder that children need to have sun cream applied before they come into school in the morning, and ideally a cap or sun hat for when they are outside.

Congratulations to the following children who have received my Headteachers award today:

Nursery Savannah T
Reception Eban W & Olivia M
Year 1 Silas R
Year 2 Logan G
Year 3 Bobby B
Year 4 Franklin B
Year 5 Christina V & Rudi M
Year 6 Maisie S

PSA Readathon Bingo!  Don’t forget to continue with the PSA Readathon Bingo Challenge throughout June!  All money raised will be going towards the refurbishment of our school library.

We look forward to seeing the fun you have completing the challenges, so if you are happy to do so, please do send in your photos so that we can share them on the PSA board.  Photos can be sent directly to keeleypsa@henhamugley.essex.sch.uk

Henham 10k and 3k – A reminder that our virtual event starts from tomorrow 12th June and runs until the 27th June, so there’s still plenty of time to get signed up!

The lovely Jess is outside school at the end of most days so you can sign up with her or you can click on this link: www.henham10k.org.uk  All funds raised are going to the school.

If you would like to help out by donating a cake that participants can purchase at the end of their race on the three weekends the event is running, please let us now. The link for the Facebook group is: https://fb.me/e/WwJDJXsG

Non-pupil day Monday 21st June:  A reminder that our original planned non-pupil day has been moved to Monday 21st June 2021.

End of term:  A note for your diary!  The last day of the summer term is Wednesday 21st July.  Children to be collected from school between 1pm and 1.15pm to allow for a self-stagger collection.  There will be no after school club on this afternoon.

Finally, over the next few days you will be receiving a letter regarding the Sex and Relationship Education (SRE) aspect of the curriculum, to be delivered this term.  Within the letter will be a link for you to click on in order to give consent to your child taking part in these sessions.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding this, please do get in touch with your child’s class teacher.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend,

Kim
