26th May 2023

Dear parents/ carers,

Another half term comes to an end and with it, today, we said a fond farewell to our lovely Mrs DeHowes, as she starts her new job after half term.  We will all miss her skills and experience and wish her much love in her new role where we know she will continue to be fabulous.  Good luck Mrs DH, we will all miss you!

This week we had the fabulous Year 3 and 4 performances of ‘Hoodwinked Robin Hood’ and what a magnificent show it was.  Such fabulous singing and performing from the children and a brilliant way to end this half term.  Year 3 and 4, we are all so proud of you!

As part of their Stone Age to Iron Age topic, the children in Year 3 were tasked with building Stonehenge out of biscuits after taking part in some debates over the theories behind the creation of Stonehenge. They worked brilliantly as a team ensuring the models balanced and did not fall over. We were really impressed with both their skills when working together and their creativity.  Well done Year 3!

A huge well done to the Year 6’s that completed their bikeability sessions over the last two weeks.  You should all be very proud of yourselves!

Essex Child & The Family Wellbeing Service will be delivering a service of Magic Mindfulness.  Please see the information below.

Breakfast club:  after trialling breakfast club in the library for the last two weeks, we have decided to move back to the hall.  From Tuesday 6th June, children can be taken to the external hall doors to commence their session; thank you.

That’s it for this half term, have a wonderful half term break and as Monday 5th June is a non-pupil day I look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday 6th June.

With best wishes,

Kim
