Dear parents/ carers,
Another week has gone by and you may have noticed that the metal tracks on the dog leg part of the field have been removed today, as we get closer to the finalising of the school improvement works. Over the next couple of weeks, the areas will be treated to allow for the grass to grow back!
Clubs: We have had a difficult time with emails this week – thank you for your patience with this. Just in case you missed it, here is the link for booking after school activity clubs, which commence next week: https://forms.office.com/r/axg2YgH9xa
If your child is in a sports club, on a non PE day, they are welcome to come into school in their PE kit on club days to save changing at the end of the school day.
Archery Club: Due to low numbers, we are now able to offer this club to Year 5 – please use the above link should you wish to secure a place for next week.
Music Lessons: For those signed up, music lessons will commence next week.
Flu immunisations: We have been advised today that the planned immunisations for Years R to 6 will not take place next week.
You may have noted the ongoing media coverage surrounding the plans to offer the Covid-19 vaccine to healthy children aged 12-15 years, in school. The Department of Health and Public Health England have commissioned the School Aged Immunisation Service to deliver this programme in all secondary schools from week commencing 20th September 2021.
This means that our date has been moved to the 9th November. This does give you a bit more time to complete the form attached should you have had issues in receiving it this week.
Secondary School Places: If your child is in year 6, you can apply for a secondary school (year 7) place between 10 September 2021 and 31 October 2021. For your reference, full information along with application details, can be found here: https://www.essex.gov.uk/apply-for-a-secondary-school-place
Reception School Applications 2022: If your child is due to start school in September 2022, you can apply for a Reception school place at an Essex primary school between 8 November 2021 and 15 January 2022. I will be providing one to one tours after school throughout this term, which can be booked through the school office.
