17th December 2021

Dear parents/ carers,

Well, the last day of the autumn term has arrived!  We may have had a little limp along the way but what a super term it’s been.

We have had the results for the cheerleading competition that was filmed last week.  Well done and huge congratulations to the Year 1/2  and Year 3/4 Team who each came in FIRST PLACE and the Year 5/6 Team who came in SECOND PLACE.  Such a fantastic achievement.  Well done, I am so proud of you all!

Year 1 and 2 Team: Tabitha, Daisy, Ella-Rose, Thea, Millie, James, Orson, Silas, Archie, Hugo and Ned

Year 3 and 4 Team: Daisy, Libby, Mila, Olive-Ella, Remi, Emily, Lara, Gracie, Bella, Ava, Olivia S, Esme, Holly, Harry M, Ben, Olivia H, Dot, Teddy, Jaz, Mariyam and Lara

Year 5 and 6 Team: Alex, Christina, Isla H, Halle, Harry, Alina, Wilf, Lyra, Grace, Lucy, Evie, Willow, Tameema, Lewis, Isla, Grayson, Oliver, Molly, Flori, Daniel, Alexis and Franklin.

We had the online viewing of the EYFS and KS1 nativities this week; I am so proud of all the children, they put on fantastic performances.  Thank you to my wonderful staff, such a super way to end the term

Our Year 5 children and families collected for a hamper this week to be taken to a care home in Stansted.  What a super treat.  Thank you so much for your generosity.

We of course have had the PSA Christmas raffle and fund raising over the last few weeks.  Early tallying up shows a mightily impressive £1900 has been raised!  This is an incredible amount towards the books for our library.  Thank you all so much for supporting the PSA.

The PSA were able to organise science parties for the children this week and what a super time they had.  Each class had their own session in the hall, such a memorable experience – lots of gasps and wows!  Thank you PSA for organising.

I am as proud as ever to be part of such a wonderful community.  We know that once again this has been a challenging term, especially this last couple of weeks.   We have such a fantastic staff team and I can’t thank them enough for their hard work and commitment to always ensuring the best for our children.  I would also like to thank our wonderful Governing Board for their continued support.  And of course, our wonderful parents; thank you so much for your on-going support, it really is invaluable.

I wish you all a relaxing and healthy Christmas and a happy new year and look forward to seeing you on Wednesday 5th January when the children return to school for the start of the spring term.

Happy Christmas everyone!

Kim
