12th May 2023

Dear parents/ carers,

I’m going to start this week by congratulating our wonderful Year 6’s who sat their SATs tests this week;  I am so proud of them all.

Mrs Fleming and Mrs Miley did a fabulous job at preparing the children in the lead up, which ensured that all the children coped brilliantly, during what could be, a very stressful time for them.

It was a whole school effort in ensuring the rules were followed – they are very strict!  So thank you to my wonderful staff for supporting this process.

And of course, the year 6 parents – what a super job you have done in preparation for this week; thank you!

Now that that’s over, Year 6 can focus on getting ready for the activities planned for the rest of the summer term.

To kick this off, we had the delivery of the Year 6 leavers hoodies today  – what excitement!  Look out for the children wearing these each day, if it’s anything like previous years, these hoodies will be glued to their backs until the end of July!

Next week Year 6 will start their bikeability sessions.  There are 3 groups, organised as follows:  (Bikes can be left in school overnight if required).

Group 1 – Tuesday 16th and Wednesday 17th May Group 2 – Thursday 18th and Friday 19th May Group 3 – Tuesday 23rd and Wednesday 24th May
