Nursery admissions

Our Nursery is an integral part of our school and is led by a Qualified Teacher with a speciality in Early Years.

Mrs Espie is assisted by dedicated, qualified nursery practitioners in our purpose built nursery.

At Henham we provide safe, stimulating indoor and outdoor learning areas with specialist provision and equipment.

We run our Nursery and Reception classes as an Early Years Unit with children moving freely between both areas during free play times. This enables our younger children to become fully acquainted with our Reception setting and not only inspires learning and development, but also ensures a seamless, stress free transition to Reception when the time comes.

Reception 2024 or rest of school admissions

Are you looking for a school for your child? Whether they are starting Reception in 2024 or perhaps you are looking to move your child to a new school. We are always available for you to come and have a look around or even apply.

The Schools Planning and Admissions Department at Essex County Council allocate all intake of children wishing to join Henham and Ugley Primary and Nursery School.

In the first instance you will need to contact 0845 603 2200 to request a common application form or if you prefer you can apply online at
